Leaning Perspective © 1970 Hugo Redivo

“Leaning Perspective”

I wanted to show another famous Italian Landmark in a slightly different way from the usual. By tilting the image, I still wanted to show that it is the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy. To partly illustrate its size, I asked my two boys to place themselves on that spot on top of the tower. This gives a comparison between people and structure. By using the 250mm Tele Lens on the Hasselblad I could get close enough to bring out the architectural beauty, the proportions and the details of this bell tower. Through international contributions a further leaning has been stopped. To get the 'chiaro-scuro' effect, this image is also available in black & white.
